And this is where JADE takes over.
JADE — the fundamental principle.
JADE acts as virtual audio and control matrix. JADE combines the simultaneous use of audio data from various drivers (ASIO, WDM, Native), with access to all PC applications via a central user interface. Specifically, this means that different scenarios can be defined with the help of snapshots, so that critical applications can be activated by a single interaction.
Audio interfaces — use them simultaneously and without restriction.
JADE allows you to work with any PC audio interface — simultaneously! No matter what hardware you are running with your PC, JADE manages all audio devices and enables their parallel use. Not only is the tedious configuration of audio interfaces eliminated but also is the limited availability of individual inputs and outputs. Thus you can use a conventional USB headset for interviews, take the microphone signal and feed it via another audio device to a return feed — no matter whether those audio devices are linked via WDM or ASIO drivers.
Internal signal processing — with integrated VST plug-ins.
Optionally, JADE offers an integrated VST host so that VST plug-ins can be loaded and looped into the signal flow. Thus any kind of signal processing is possible — live and without complicated procedures — and individual parameters for any processing can be saved and reloaded with the simple press of a button.
IP-based audio transfer in real time — with RAVENNA and JADE.
Using the RAVENNA driver you can incorporate audio signals (AoIP) from a RAVENNA network, process them just like any other signals, and stream them back again into the network. Connection to a central matrix can then be implemented easily via the IT infrastructure of the in-house network, and without the need for conventional audio cabling. The advantage: with RAVENNA and JADE you are spatially flexible like never
before.
Signal control — central and transparent.
Setting the recording levels, summing and routing — all this can be centralised with JADE. As well as conventional signal routing, it is possible to individually modify the audio level of sources, destinations and crosspoints. Additionally, several input signals can be summed to an output within one matrix.
