Latest Lawo technology in Belgium's RTL TVI

For the RTL Media Corner building of RTL Group, Brussels, opened end of 2006, Lawo supplied a Nova73 HD routing system, two mc²66 consoles, a zirkonXL and a zirkon.

The Nova73 HD router, which is used as central audio matrix for the TVI complex, offers a routing capacity of 4000 inputs and outputs with full redundancy. The links to the studios are redundantly designed MADI connections.

The two identically configured mc²66 consoles are equipped with 16+8+16 faders and include 96 full DSP channels plus independent local I/Os in the studios. Networked with the Nova73 HD, the mc²66 consoles allow to select and use in all studios the signals supplied at the router. After processing they are routed to the transmission outputs or for further processing. The zirkonXL with 16 faders and the zirkon with 8 faders use local I/Os and can also select signals from the Nova73 HD directly at the consoles.

New studios of radio station Bel RTL with Lawo

For the new studios of Belgium's leading French-speaking radio station, Lawo installed a Nova73 HD for the central audio distribution. The audio links in the master control room are all digital. Each of the five studios hosts one DALLIS frame with AES and analogue interfaces. Signals from and to the master control room are supplied via MADI.

The router offers a routing power of 4000 mono signals with full redundancy and can be extended as required. In addition to a redundant router board, all MADI connections are doubled and supply different cards.
